This is the little church of Saint (Agios) Minas of Katiforianos (1537-1650) in the old town of Fira in Santorini. It faces the caldera and the volcano Nea and Palea Kameni, and the endless blue of the Aegean, while the sanctuary of the church is fixed in the heart of the volcanic rock.

Originally constructed between 1537-1650, it is considered to be one of the oldest Christian curches of the island of Santorini. After nearly half a millenium, and due to strong winds and salty air, the church suffered severe damage in- and outdoor.

In 2019, TROIA Group performed top-quality renovation works.

The church of Agios Minas has since emerged highlighted and is being admired from Santorini’s main town, Fira.
